Owen Sound Police say a 28-year-old is facing impaired driving charges after being found unresponsive inside a running vehicle.
Police say at 2 a.m. on June 21, officers, the fire department, and Grey County paramedics responded to an East Side business after two people were found unresponsive inside a vehicle.
Police say both the driver and passenger of the vehicle were transported to Owen Sound hospital for treatment after Narcan was administered on the scene, Narcan is a medication used to reverse or reduce the effects of an overdose.
Police say the Owen Sound Police Service Drug Recognition Expert assisted in the investigation and determined the driver of the vehicle was impaired by a drug.
As a result, the accused from Owen Sound has been charged with operation while impaired by alcohol and drug, and operation while impaired with a blood drug concentration.
Additionally, the driver also had their licence suspended for 90 days and the vehicle has been impounded for seven days.
