The town of Wasaga Beach is not getting funding it applied for for the new arena and library.
In a news release, Mayor Nina Bifolchi says she is disappointed in the town not being approved as part of the current round of funding under the Canada Infrastructure Program.
The town had requested funding of 38.7 million dollars. The total project cost is currently pegged at 59.9 million.
But the town is now applying for other funding being made available through the Federal government.
A new joint library and twin pad arena building is to be constructed at 544 River Road West.
