About 200 hydro customers in Port Elgin were without power this morning.
Westario Power says the outage was caused by a motor vehicle accident.
Saugeen Shores Police say they are investigating a single vehicle collision with a power transformer in the area of Arlington Street and River Street.
Police say the driver was transported to hospital. Police did not know the severity of their injuries.
They are asking any witnesses or those with security camera footage to contact them.
The current estimated restoration time is 10 a.m.
