A local cannabis store in Owen Sound was broken into early this morning.
Owen Sound Police say officers attended an alarm call at a cannabis shop in the city’s east end just after 3:20 a.m. Friday, and arrived to find the front door of the business had been smashed with a hammer.
Police say the store manager accessed video surveillance remotely from his home, and provided a description of the suspects to officers.
“A short time later, two youths matching the description of the suspects were located near the harbour and taken into custody,” Owen Sound Police say in a release. “The two youths had no prior police involvement so as a result, the pair had their parents contacted and received a diversion under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.”
Owen Sound Police didn’t disclose exactly which business the break-in occurred at, or if anything was stolen.
