Four new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed Tuesday (Jan 26) in Grey Bruce.
The Health Unit has shifted to automated reporting which covers a 24 hour period from midnight to midnight of the previous day in order to align with Provincial CCM (Case and Contact Management) reporting. Grey Bruce Health Unit data reports began in March 2020, the provincial CCM reports did not begin until late summer 2020. (See Tweet below)
Tuesday’s new cases are in Owen Sound, Arran Elderslie, South Bruce Peninsula and Kincardine.
The Health Unit says with three more cases resolved, there are 25 active cases and one active probable case. Probable cases are not lab confirmed, but are symptomatic and are high-risk contacts of an active case.
They say there are 73 high risk contacts associated with the region’s cases.
Two people are hospitalized, with one being intubated. No one has died locally and there are no outbreaks in schools, childcare centres or long-term care homes in Grey Bruce.
The Health Unit says it has administered 390 Doses of COVID-19 vaccine in Grey and Bruce and received 800 Doses of the COVID-19 vaccine to date.
