There’s a Bruce County household hazardous waste day coming up in Southampton.
On Saturday May 3rd, you can take your hazardous waste to the Southampton Works Yard from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
They’ll be taking things like paints and stains, propane tanks, used oil, aerosols, batteries, antifreeze, cleaners, fluorescent lights, pharmaceuticals, pesticides, and more.
You can find a full list on Bruce County’s website.
The County notes commercial waste, agricultural waste, industrial waste, PCBs, ammunition and flares will not be accepted.
They say waste must be received in containers that can be disposed of. Containers will not be emptied and returned (for example; gas cans).
They ask that you stay in your vehicle and put the items you would like disposed of in your open trunk for event staff to unload.
Bruce County says it is hosting 13 household hazardous waste collection events around the county this year.
