Join us Friday December 5th for the 3rd Annual Mix 106.5 Community Food Drive brought to you by Pizzaville.

The demand on food banks in Grey & Bruce has never been higher than it is now, Mix 106.5 is proud to partner with the Salvation Army to help our community in this way.

Listen as we take the Mix Kicks Cruiser around town to various grocery stores, where you’ll find volunteers from the Salvation Army, and our sister stations 89.3 CFOS FM and Country 93 at No Frills, Foodland, Metro, Food Basics, Fresh Co. and Zehrs throughout the day as well!

Wherever you do your shopping, we hope you’ll choose to support us with a donation of non perishable food items, or a monetary donation of any amount, at any of those locations. Pre-made bags that contain some of the essential items most needed by the Food Bank will also be available for purchase at most stores.

If you can’t make it to a grocery story on December 5th , you can also make a monetary donation by calling 519-376-7777 between 9am and 5pm. Special operators will be standing by to take your donation, and if you would like to include a dedication with your donation, we’ll do our best to get it read on the air as well.

Be sure to listen to the broadcast throughout the day we’ll be talking about food security in Grey & Bruce, and what you can do to help others in need. We’ll be joined by some special guests from the community to speak on this issue, and we’ll also be sharing some special Christmas music.
