Bruce Power has started this year’s edition of the company’s summer bus tour program.
As of Monday, June 1, the power company will be offering bus tours of its site.
This year, they’ve extended the program until October 8th.
Bus tours will run once-daily between Monday and Friday for the month of June.
Service will expand to three times per day, seven days a week for July and August.
For September 8th until October 8th, there will be two tours per week.
Last year, 6,300 people took a tour of the Bruce Power site to learn more about nuclear power and the creation of medical isotopes.
Visitors can also learn more about the company’s refurbishment of their reactor units thanks to its Major Component Replacement (MCR) project, as well as learning more information about the proposed Bruce C expansion.
The Bruce Power bus tour program launches from the Visitor’s Centre, at 3349 Bruce County Rd. 20, north of Tiverton.
Tour requirements and registration can be found here.
