I’m not going to lie, I got hooked on this game pretty quickly yesterday afternoon….
There’s a new app you can download call “OneShot Golf“…and no, this isn’t a traditional putting video-game.
The app uses real robots on a real putting course, designed and built in a warehouse in Regina, SK. There’s 50 different robotic-controlled putters and all kinds of different themed courses to play on.
You aim your putt using the arrows on your screen before setting how much power you want to swing with. Here’s what it looks like:

Occasionally, you’ll even see an employee in the background who cheers you on while you line up your put.
The apps been downloaded about 10,000 times far and continues to grow.
Of course, the first few games are free – you can actually win real prizes too – but after the free games you’ll need to buy “tokens” with real money to keep playing. So parents – a good reminder to monitor that should your kids download the app while connected to your credit card.
The studio behind the app says it’s hoping to expand its robot fleet with an additional 40 putt-bots in the near future.
Hey look ma…I made the Top 10!
