Bruce County has received two awards in creative economic development marketing with two locally produced videos.
Officially recognized by the Hermes Creative Awards, the county received a Gold award for its video NPX: Choosing to Call Bruce Home, featuring the local nuclear power facility Bruce Power, and a Platinum for the video Business to Bruce Paisley: Express Your Talents, which shows off the Village of Paisley in the Municipality of Arran-Elderslie.
Bruce County Warden Janice Jackson says, “It’s great to see our ongoing economic development marketing efforts recognized.”
“Bruce County communities are full of economic opportunity and marketing our region as so is crucial to drive vitality and investment across our region,” notes Jackson.
The videos were created as part of the Bruce County economic development initiatives, and according to the release, along with the help of the video production company Astrodog Media, digital tactics like video help with selling experiences from long distances.
The Hermes awards recognizes creative professionals involved in concept, writing and design of traditional and emerging media and is administered by the Association of Marketing and Communications Professional.
Every year a competition is held where judges evaluate the creative industry for talent exceeding in excellence and serves as a benchmark for the industry.
