West Grey council has passed its 2021 budget and it comes with a combined tax increase of over 3.5 per cent.
The $11.5-million dollar spending will cost homeowners about $40 more annually per $100,000 of assessment.
West Grey Mayor Christine Robinson says the municipal budget is one of the most important responsibilities of council and she is pleased with the level of dialogue and diligence during its process.
“This budget supports our strategic goals of building our community and being responsible to our taxpayers,” says Robinson.
Some of the capital projects featured in the budget include:
-Tendering for the new West Grey police station
