Bruce County is notifying the community about rehabilitation work on three bridges.
The County says Blackwell Bridge on Bruce Road 23 between Kincardine and Tiverton north of the Stoney Island Conservation area is under construction. One lane will remain open to alternating traffic, but traffic delays are expected. The work is expected to be finished in July.
The repair work is focused on concrete patching, drainage improvements, waterproofing, barrier replacement, and deck resurfacing.
The County is asking drivers to take it slow in construction zones and watch for workers.
A short-term road closure is taking place on Bruce Road 3, from Concession Road 4 West to Concession Road 2 north of Durham Road West, from Monday, June 21 to Friday, June 25th for culvert replacements. The County also notes there will be no emergency access.
A detour will be in place from Concession Road 2 north of Durham Road West at Bruce Road 3, to Greenock Brant, to Chepstow Road, to Bruce Road 3.
This closure is part of the surface rehabilitation road repairs that are taking place on Bruce Road 3 from June 2021 to August 2021.
Reid Bridge on Bruce Road 6 west of Teeswater is closed for major rehabilitation which is expected to be completed in October. A detour is in place on Concession 10, which is north of Bruce Road 6 using Bruce Road 4.
