The Grey Bruce Health Unit reported 11 new Covid cases on Sunday.
According to Public Health, five people from Owen Sound, two from Brockton, and residents of Hanover, Grey Highlands, South Bruce Peninsula and Arran-Elderslie tested positive.
With nine previous cases now resolved, the region’s active known case load increased to 44. Two Grey Bruce residents are hospitalized locally and another is receiving care outside the area.
More than 128,000 Covid vaccine doses have been administered in the region to date.
Seven Grey Bruce residents have died from the virus over the course of the pandemic.
The testing and case counts data released by the health unit on Sunday is reflective of a 24-hour period prior to 11:59 p.m. Saturday.
