The Bruce-Grey Catholic District School Board has approved its budget for the 2021-22 school year.
The Board of Trustees approved the $77.3-million budget at its meeting on Monday. It includes more than $69.4-million in operating expenses and over $7.9-million in capital spending.
Additions to St. Anthony’s School in Kincardine and St. Mary’s High School in Owen Sound are included in the capital plan. A release from the Bruce-Grey Catholic Board explains it is also awaiting an approval to proceed with childcare additions at St. Basil’s and Notre Dame schools in Owen Sound.
Schools boards are funded on a per-pupil basis, with additional grants to provide equal educational opportunities for students. Overall total enrolment in the Bruce-Grey Catholic District School Board is 4,658, according to a release.
