The Grey Bruce Health Unit reports 23 new Covid cases in the region on Friday.
According to Public Health, seven residents from Owen Sound, six from Chatsworth, four from South Bruce Peninsula, three from Saugeen Shores, two from Huron Kinloss, and one from Southgate tested positive.
With six previous cases now resolved, the region’s active known case load goes up to 76.
Six Grey Bruce residents are hospitalized locally and one is receiving care outside the region.
Seven Grey Bruce residents have died from the virus over the course of the pandemic.
More than 142,000 Covid vaccine doses have been administered in the region to date.
The testing and case counts data released by the health unit on Friday is reflective of a 24-hour period prior to 11:59 p.m. Friday.
