The Grey Bruce Health Unit reported 21 new Covid cases and four resolved ones on Monday.
According to Public Health, six people from Saugeen First Nation, five from Saugeen Shores, two from South Bruce Peninsula, two people from Owen Sound, and residents of Meaford, Kincardine, Georgian Bluffs, Chatsworth, Arran-Elderslie and The Blue Mountains tested positive.
The region’s active known case load is now up to 139. Eight Grey Bruce residents are hospitalized locally and two others are receiving care outside the area.
More than 144,000 Covid vaccine doses have been administered in the region to date.
Eight Grey Bruce residents have died from the virus over the course of the pandemic.
The testing and case counts data released by the health unit on Monday is reflective of a 24-hour period prior to 11:59 p.m. Sunday.
