Laurentis Energy Partners is donating $10,000 to the Canadian Red Cross, to help address COVID-19 in communities struggling with outbreaks, including Saugeen First Nation.
Working together with Grey Bruce Health Services, Saugeen First Nation declared a state of emergency due to rising cases of COVID-19.
With an office in Port Elgin and operations at the Bruce nuclear site, within Saugeen Ojibway Nation traditional territory, Laurentis felt it important to provide assistance.
Vice President of Laurentis Jason Van Wart says by joining forces and helping front-line workers, the company hopes to help protect communities in which they operate.
The Canadian Red Cross is on site at Saugeen First Nation supporting isolation centres and other services for people who are fighting the virus.
