Grey Highlands council has approved the the filming of a documentary in the Blue-Mountains-Grey Highlands area in Aug.
A form submitted by Productions Testa Inc. asked council for the permission to do occasional road closures for the filming.
The form notes how the executive producer of the production company lives in Blue Mountains and has wanted to feature the Georgian Bay area in her films.
The film titled View of a Journey is about two visually impaired friends and they, as well as their guides share similar passions including sports, especially tandem cycling in various locales. The films aim is to educate the viewers about the strength of these characters.
Working with a maximum crew of seven people, the filming will not involve crowds, noise or setting up structures and will follow all Covid guidelines issued by the Ontario film industry.
The film will feature Blue Mountains Euphrasia Road to Grey Highlands Townline, the newly paved section between 18 sideroad and Rte 119.
The production company is not asking for a full road closure but for moments at a time.
The filming will take place between Aug. 13 to the 15.
