Pat Sajak has been hosting Wheel of Fortune since 1981.
He announced last night on twitter, that he would be leaving the show after the next season:
Pat has won several Emmy awards for his hosting, as well as a lifetime achievement prize in 2011.
Wheel of Fortune, which started in 1975, is still one of the most watched game shows drawing in about 26 Million viewers each week.
It’s not yet known who will take his place, but I am sure there will be many people applying for the gig! Possibly including his daughter Maggie, who works on the show or maybe Vanna White will leave her letter turning position and take on the hosting duties!
