Pizza Hut is bringing back their BOOK IT! reading program, hoping to inspire a new generation of young readers to discover the joy of reading and earn a personal pan pizza!

The return of BOOK IT! comes at a time when Canadians are looking for more ways to unplug and reconnect with analog activities. According to Leo Toronto’s 2025 HumanKind Study, 62% of Gen Z are actively trying to reduce their screen time, while 45% of Canadians are returning to analog hobbies like reading and book clubs.
For families, the desire to create healthier relationships with screens is especially top of mind, with a recent Leger survey finding that 83% of Canadians are concerned about the potential negative impact of social media on children and teenagers.
BOOK IT! taps into this growing desire to make time for screen-free activities by turning reading into something kids can feel excited about. With a simple incentive to read, reach a goal and celebrate with pizza, the program gives families and classrooms a fun, tangible way to make reading feel rewarding — while giving kids another reason to pick up a book.
How BOOK IT! Works
BOOK IT! serves students from pre-K through Grade 6. Teachers at accredited public and private schools can enroll their classrooms, set reading goals and track students’ reading habits throughout the school year.
Each month, students who reach their goal receive a certificate for one free Pizza Hut one-topping Personal Pan Pizza.
Enrollment opened Sept. 1, with the BOOK IT! School Program running from October 2026 through March 2027. For details visit HERE.
